Up until this past year, Troop 4920 was a Junior troop of Girl Scouts who recently earned their Bronze Award. They spent the last two years collecting used markers from around the Peninsula. They made recycled containers and dropped them off at libraries and schools throughout the area. To get word out, they made a video to share with friends, family, and the community.
Over the course of the two years, they managed to collect over 50 pounds of used markers. They collected, boxed, and shipped these markers to Crayola for their Colorcycle program. Once collected, Crayola turns these markers into energy resources and our coastal cities stay free and clear of the waste.
Great job, Troop 4920!
