As a kid, it was always so much fun checking the mail. That may not be as true as an adult. I was always so disappointed to find that nothing in the mailbox was actually for me. My parents would say, “you have to write someone to get something back.” Even though we’ve become more and more dependent on technology and screens, I still like to flip through the occasional magazine. And love checking the mail to have something other than a bill waiting for me.
Since we started Girl Scouts, the Fall Product Program has me spending more time reading those magazines. I now subscribe to several that I never would have before. Each year when the program rolls around I sit with my girls to pick out something that they would like to receive too.
